We’re always trying to find better ways for local Children’s Book Groups to easily communicate with other groups, to share best practice and to gain new ideas. To this end, thanks to a suggestion by a member of the Oxford Children’s Book Groups, we’ve now set up a series of online Forums where any group member can post questions/provide answers on issues relevant to local book groups.
If you go to http://www.fcbg.org.uk/forums/ you will see this:
If you click on on either of the forums highlighted in blue, you will then be able to leave questions/answers on different topics.
Anyone is able to start a new topic, or answer an existing topic, but if you have an idea for a new forum, please let me know and I will set one up.
Initially we’ll be running these forums until the end of 2013. This trial period will enable us to monitor how much work it is to moderate the forums and keep them clear of spam.
You can find a link to the forums under the “Resources” tab above, and at the right hand side of this screen (just below the twitter feed). Should you wish to share the URL this is the best one to use:
We hope you’ll find them a useful way to make contact with other groups in the Federation – please do let us have any feedback you have on this initiative.
