Conference 2016: Building Bridges- Forging connections and growing readers

Each spring, one of our local children’s book groups, in collaboration with the National Executive, organises the Federation Conference.

Conference is a fantastic opportunity to spend time with others who feel passionate about children’s literature. For those involved in education, libraries or book selling, it is the most amazing professional development, offering talks, debates, workshops and seminars to explore and develop ideas. Exhibitions introduce fresh publications and new authors alongside old favourites. During coffee and meal breaks, you can find yourself sitting next to your favourite author and there are plenty of opportunities to get books signed – and indulge in buying a few new ones!
