There’s still time to enter our very exciting National Non-Fiction Day competition – don’t miss out on the faboulous prizes on offer!
In partnership with Chris Lloyd, celebrating the release of his latest title The What on Earth? Wallbook of Science and Engineering, we are inviting individuals and teams to define history by designing their own timeline of the 20 most exciting and influential inventions and discoveries of all time.
The winning individual entry will win a cash prize of £500. The winning school, team or group entry will win a signed copy of the Wallbook for each team member, an author visit by Chris Lloyd to the school associated with the winning team AND a GIANT 5m long edition of the Wallbook worth £299!
All you need to do to stand a chance of winning these wonderful prizes is create a timeline of the top 20 moments / discoveries / events / inventions you can think of in the history of science and engineering. Each moment should have some brief words of description and an illustration to explain its impact on our life (good or bad!). You can let your imagination run wild and talk about what inventions you might like to see in the next 100 years if you want.
You’ve got until midnight on Saturday 30th November to submit your entry. Download the entry form at whatonearthbooks.com/sciencetimeline and e-mail your pdf or jpeg image of your timeline to sciencetimeline@whatonearthbooks.com.
If you are stuck thinking about how you can make your timeline look really good then visit visit Chris Lloyd’s website to download a template.
