On World Book Day this year, King Edward’s School in Bath hosted an attempt for the Guinness World Record for the largest reading lesson ever.
FCBG Secretary, Karen Hellewell acted as a steward – part of the team looking after the 288 children who packed into the school hall for an hour of reading fun and games based on Penny Dreadful is A Record Breaker. The lesson was taught by Penny Dreadful author Joanna Nadin and King Edward’s Elizabeth McFarlan.
Last week it was confirmed that the yes, indeed, Usborne Publishing, Joanna Nadin, King Edward’s School and Combe Down Primary now hold the Guinness World Record for the largest reading lesson! Congratulations to everyone involved!
