This competition takes inspiration from M G Leonard and Daniel Rieley’s colourful eco-story The Tale of a Toothbrush (Walker Books, 2020). We are inviting children in KS1 (approx. ages 5-7) to draw or paint a picture of their own toothbrush and suggest one or more ways to reuse/recycle old toothbrushes.
The winners will be selected by M G Leonard and Daniel Rieley from the entries shortlisted by the judging panel appointed by the Federation of Children’s Book Groups. Each winner will receive a signed copy of the picture book, plus some other exciting surprises.
Each entry should be completed on A4 paper with the entrant’s name, age and the appropriate contact address (school, book group, library or home) printed on the reverse. Entries should be submitted by Friday 4th December to:
NNFN 2020: Key Stage 1, c/o Elizabeth Hall, Bishop’s Stortford College Prep School, 10 Maze Green Road, Bishop’s Stortford, Herts, CM23 2PJ.
Please include a covering letter which provides the contact details of the adult organizer/carer, including their name, address, email and phone number. We are very sorry that we will not be able to return any of the entries.
The winners will be notified before or by 29th January 2021, followed by an announcement of the winners on the Federation of Children’s Book Groups website.See here for the competition rules/terms & conditions.
