A very warm welcome to our annual celebration of fabulous non-fiction for children and young people – National Non-Fiction November!
We’ll be spending every day this month highlighting the wealth and riches of non-fiction that’s out there with a mixture of guest posts, opinion pieces, giveaways and more, both here on the FCBG blog and elsewhere.
We hope that many of you will be holding events to celebrate National Non-Fiction November. We’re hugely grateful to Lonely Planet Kids who have generously sponsored the activity packs which have been sent to all FCBG local groups to inspire a non-fiction themed event this month.
Our general theme for the month is MAPS – everything from drawing them, to the history and geography they reveal and the stories that they tell.
Whilst we’ll have a focus on all things cartographic, this month is truly a celebration of non-fiction in all its guises, exploring all possible topics so we hope you’ll find a way to take part and share your favourite non-fiction for children and young people.
If you’re on Twitter, do use the hashtag #NNFN to find all the goodies we’re sharing this month and in the meantime… here’s wishing you a month of exciting exploration and really enjoyable reading!
