We would like to draw your attention to a fantastic family-focused literary festival that is taking place at place at The Globe during the last weekend of July. Jo Humphreys-Davies told us that Walker Books has been working with Globe Education on Shakespeare’s Telling Tales which has an incredible line-up, including four Children’s Laureates.
‘You can join authors, illustrators and storytellers at Shakespeare’s Globe for a weekend of magical, interactive storytelling activities that are perfect for all ages. An award winning line-up will gather from 29-31 July for Telling Tales, Globe Education’s first literary festival for families, to celebrate the art and excitement of storytelling,’ explained Jo. ‘The current and former Children’s Laureates Chris Riddell, Malorie Blackman, Anthony Browne and Michael Morpurgo will lead a host of talks, workshops in illustration and creative writing, book signings and Q & As with other authors and illustrators including Judith Kerr, David Almond, Sarah Crossan, Vivian French, Petr Horacek and Marcia Williams.’

This sounds like a fantastic opportunity to introduce children to the world of Shakespeare. We would love to hear from you if you attend any of the events.
